Faith Formation Begins for All Ages!

RCIA has already begun.  We meet on Thursdays from 7 pm to 9 pm in the Youth Room.

Sacramental Prep begins Saturday, September 16th, from 9 am to 10:30 am.  We will first gather in the church Sanctuary.

Religious Education, EDGE, and Youth Group begin Sunday, September 17th, from 10:30 am until 11:45 am.

RCIC begins Thursday, September 21st, from 7 pm to 8 pm.




St Nicholas Church is seeking an organized, motivated, and people-oriented individual for the position of youth minister. 

The Youth Minister is responsible for organizing and coordinating the youth group (High School), edge program (Middle School), sacramental preparation (Confirmation & RCIT), and attend ACYC, NCYC, and World Youth Day trips. In addition, the youth minister recruits and trains core members who will assist with catechesis and chaperoning events. 

Qualified candidates need to be Catholic and possess a degree in religious education, theology, general education or equivalent work experience.  

Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and three references (two professional and one personal) to the parish office at 707 Saint Nicholas Dr., North Pole, AK 99705 OR to, ATTENTION: FR STAN JASZEK. 

Salary will depend on experience. This position is currently full-time.

You are invited to join The Alaska Catholic Youth Conference 2017 on June 5-9 at Saint Benedict Parish, Lumen Christi School, and Our Lady of Guadalupe Co-Cathedral In Anchorage. The 4-day conference will include the Spirit-filled music of Jesse Manibusan, a Catholic songwriter and singer that inspires young people and adults throughout the country and the world at diocesan conferences, parish missions, national conferences, and international gatherings. ACYC 2017 will also feature Megan Hunter-Kilmer, self-described as "a speaker, blogger, and hobo for Christ." There will be religious brothers and sisters from inside and outside of Alaska to journey alongside the young people present at ACYC. There will be interactive workshops by local ministry leaders and visiting guest speakers on a wide variety of subjects that will equp young people as modern day disciples. Through the people gathered at the event, the celebrations of the Sacraments, music, prayer, workshops, and fun at ACYC all will encounter Christ and experiene the Holy Spirit moving through the Church in Alaska, the lives of His people, and the wonders of our world. It is an experience you do not want to miss. Come and be part of ACYC 2017!

St Nicholas Holy Week Schedule


We will follow our regular daily Mass schedule Monday-Wednesday of Holy Week. Monday/Tuesday (April 10 & 11) morning Mass at 9am and on Wednesday (April 12) evening Mass at 7pm.
